Sunday Bloody Sunday

LAST WEEK; The Saville Inquiry into Bloody Sunday finds that the British Army was ”unjustified” in shooting 27 civilians in 1972, in Derry, Northern Ireland.

The report of the Saville Inquiry, which has been accepted by the British government, found that all of those shot were unarmed, and that the killings were “unjustified and unjustifiable.” Five of those wounded were shot in the back.

‘Bloody Sunday’ marked a major negative turning point in the fortunes of Northern Ireland. In the following twenty years,it cost the lives of thousands of people in Ireland.

It was only on that day, June 15th 2010, the Saville inquiry was presented to the British government (28 years after) showing that the soldiers had committed a crime in Northern Ireland.

BLOODY SUNDAY

Then listen again with the lyrics;

THIS IS IN HONOUR OF THE INNOCENT PEOPLE WHO WERE  KILLED WITHOUT REASON  IN THAT COUNTRY IN 1972.
